With Ghost Recon Wildlands just less than a month away, Ubisoft announced that the critically acclaimed writers Don Winslow and Shane Salerno were part of the writing team for the game’s narrative. Winslow is the award-winning and #1 internationally bestselling novelist of The Cartel, The Power of the Dog and Savages. Salerno is a huge name in the film industry, as he is currently working wi...[Read More]
I’m a sucker for open world RPG games. The amount of time that I have put into games such as Skyrim and Fallout is a little embarrassing. So when I heard of The Division, I was hopeful for a current survival based RPG. It didn’t pan out however. Then I heard about Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: The Wildlands. I was skeptical. I had been burnt once before, and didn’t want to go through the heartbreak ag...[Read More]
Earlier this week, video game publisher Ubisoft, announced that it has opened beta registration for its upcoming title, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, which is set to release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC, in March of next year.
We got a glimpse of Wildlands last year at E3 but this year we received quite a bit more from Ubisoft Paris including a March 17, 2017 release date for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is a military shooter set in a massive open world, entirely playable in single-player or up to four-player co-op.
Wildlands is a mysterious game that had little details aside from an announcement that it was a thing. Ubisoft has been hard at work getting The Division up and running with constant support, so it’s understandable that Ghost Recon wasn’t on their minds as much, at least in the public space. Earlier today a new trailer for Wildlands launched with inspirational narration and a vibrant l...[Read More]

The term “two weeks” is very powerful. For Tom Hanks and Shelley Long in the 1986 classic The Money Pit, “two weeks” was the timeline for home completion…for months. Now, I’m going to say it. Two weeks. My “two weeks” has two meanings. First, it’s the time until April 19th, which marks the beginning of the Ghost Recon: Future Soldier multiplaye...[Read More]
Two weeks ago, we were introduced to Richard “Mack” Machowicz, a former Navy SEAL sniper/scout, in Ubisoft’s first episode of the three part series Believe in Ghosts. Focused on the technology and strategy of real SEALs and Future Soldier’s Ghosts, the Believe in Ghosts series draws parallels to give Ghost Recon: Future Soldier a sense of realism and depth. Episode 2 specif...[Read More]
Ubisoft is adding catchphrase after catchphrase to their upcoming title, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. First, only the dead fight fair. Now, get ready to believe in ghosts. Over the weekend, Ubisoft released a new trailer for their upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. This new trailer, titled Inside Recon: Cover & Animation, spends a couple of minutes giving you a sneak peek at some of the features that are currently being worked up for the game. Ubisoft is definitely looking to make 2012 the year of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. One of my more anticipated titles for this year, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, releases this May. Another anticipated title from last year’s E3, however, was Ghost Recon Online. A free-to-play, microtransaction supported online multiplayer PC game, Ghost Recon Online enters closed beta March 5th (you can si...[Read More]
We had a great time at E3 back in 2011, and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier‘s multiplayer was part of the reason for it. The cooperative dynamic was absolutely fantastic, and remains one of the multiplayer experiences I look forward to most in 2012. Now, the first gameplay trailer for this great entry to the Ghost Recon franchise has made its way to us courtesy of the fine folks at Ubisoft.
