Is Casual Gaming Killing the Industry?

The other day I had a thought about the gaming industry as a whole, and the direction it seemed to be heading in, and I wondered if the industry itself was slowly dying from the recent surge in casual gaming. Now, before you all think I’m about to bash the casual gaming genre, please take the time to actually read what I am about to say instead of jumping to conclusions.

Review: Soap Opera Dash (PC)

Last week I wrote about how a new DASH game would be coming out on the 14th. Well, that day has passed and Soap Opera Dash is available for all to download and enjoy. I had the pleasure to review the game and while it stayed true to the DASH formula, it was different and a ton of fun.

Soap Opera Dash Coming Next Week

Over the course of many months, I think I’ve accurately portrayed how fond I am of the DASH series by PlayFirst. Well, today I am pleased as punch to say that next week, on the 14th, Soap Opera Dash will be released.

Holiday Gift Guide: Casual Games

For those of you partaking in the madness that is Black Friday, know that there are some gifts you can purchase from the comfort of your own home: casual games! Sure they aren’t like those crazy first-person shooters everybody raves about, but let it be known that casual games can offer some very rewarding experiences. Review: Avenue Flo: Special Delivery (PC)

Having never played the original Avenue Flo PC game, I honestly was under the assumption that I would be playing another game similar to Cooking Dash, Diner Dash, and Wedding Dash. Review: Cooking Dash 3 Thrills & Spills (PC)

Last week, and the week before that, I wrote about the latest Dash game from PlayFirst, Cooking Dash 3: Thrills & Spills. I was genuinely excited to play this, since I had never played a Cooking Dash game before, and before even going into the proper review, let me tell you this: I had an absolute blast.

Review: Wedding Dash 4-Ever

A while ago I announced the upcoming sequel to the Wedding Dash franchise, Wedding Dash 4-Ever. Having only played the iPhone version before, I thought I could easily get through this game without any trouble. Boy was I wrong.

Wedding Dash 4-Ever Announced

Today, PlayFirst announced the next installment to their highly addictive DASH-franchise: Wedding Dash 4-Ever. This will be the fourth in the Wedding Dash series, and I can only imagine it will be just as, if not more, popular.

Review: Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air (PC)

Today, I spent a good portion of my time playing, and completing, Dream Chronicles: The Book of Air by PlayFirst. Well before the game was released, I knew I wanted to play it. I’m a huge fan of hidden-object games, so the recent installment to the Dream Chronicles franchise was a must-have. I will admit that The Book of Air is the first Dream Chronicles game I’ve ever played, so I was...[Read More]
