Trailer: Anarchy Reigns

Earlier this week SEGA released the first real gameplay trailer for Platinum Games’ upcoming multi-player brawler, Anarchy Reigns. While there were glimpses of gameplay in each of the character bio videos they released last week, this is our first clear look at what we can expect in a real game scenario. Are you excited? Get excited. I’ll wait.

Marooners’ Talk: Episode 001 – “Feeling Like a Ham and Mustard Shake”

The second episode of Marooners’ Talk is now available for listening and download here on the site, and will soon be available on iTunes. Episode 001, “Feeling Like A Ham and Mustard Shake,” has a couple of inappropriate moments in it, so make sure there are no children present when you listen.

Conduit 2: Interview with Eric Nofsinger of High Voltage Software

Here we are, at the end of my week long coverage of Sega’s community event for the High Voltage shooter, Conduit 2, for the Nintendo Wii. And for the grand finale, my proudest moment of gaming journalism, where I sit down to talk with one of the developers from High Voltage.

Anarchy Reigns Character Bio: Jack

Platinum Games’ first title was the critically well-received, but commercially unsuccessful, Nintendo Wii game “MadWorld.” Featuring an incredibly stylized design, and a level of blood and inventive violence one would not expect to find on the supposedly family-friendly Wii console, MadWorld is an unfortunate story of a great game on the wrong platform. With Anarchy Reigns, some ...[Read More]

Conduit 2: Multiplayer Video Footage

During the event last week at Sega, I was fortunate to get video footage of the multiplayer from Conduit 2, as well as the single player.

Anarchy Reigns Character Bio: Big Bull

Video games can, on occasion, go over the top when it comes to character and weapon design. Sometimes this results in a game that is seen as too campy, or too over the top (what I like to call pulling a Liefeld). When done right, however, you end up with something like Anarchy Reigns’ third character to be detailed by SEGA: Big Bull and his Jet Hammer.

Conduit 2: Multiplayer Hands-On

As we approach the halfway point in this week of Conduit 2 goodies, we start to get to the thing a lot of shooter fans seem to always clamor for: the chance to take down your friends and rub it in their faces. In what promises to be the most intriguing aspect of this game, here’s this sci-fi shooter’s multiplayer.

Anarchy Reigns Character Bio: Sasha

While normally one would have to suffer through weeks of waiting for the next piece of information to be released about a game one anticipates, SEGA has thrown that old paradigm on its head and seems to be giving us a consistent stream of character bios for Platinum Games’ upcoming title, Anarchy Reigns.

Conduit 2: Single-Player Gameplay Footage

Here’s some video from the Conduit 2 event I attended at Sega headquarters. They’re are still getting some bugs fixed, but you should agree, it’s extremely fun. Good job, High Voltage.

Anarchy Reigns Character Bio: Zero

A new look at Anarchy Reigns was released today, joining the previously released screenshots and the trailer that did nothing more than tease us with glimpses of the characters (I wonder if that’s why they call it a teaser?). Witness the first, of hopefully many more to come, character bio for Anarchy Reigns: Zero!

Conduit 2: Single-Player Hands-On

At Sega’s event for Conduit 2, I got to be one of the lucky people to get a chance to play through roughly an hour of the single-player campaign. As the sequel to one of the most popular shooters for the Wii, I have to say that it’s one of the most fun games in the genre I’ve played (and I’m not a huge fan of first-person shooters).

Conduit 2 Community Event

Last Thursday, January 27 2011, I finally got to go somewhere I’ve wanted to go since I was 12 years old: Sega of America’s headquarters. There, I took part in Sega’s Conduit 2 community event, where a select group of gamers and fans got to experience the most recent build of the sequel to one of the more popular Wii first-person shooters, developed by High Voltage Studios. And w...[Read More]
