Atari Announces New Atari VCS Console
It’s official, Atari is back in the console business! Today at GDC, the current keepers of the Atari flame officially unveiled the Atari VCS console, along with the Classic Joystick and Modern Controller Prototype peripherals. A pre-order target date of April 2018 was also announced.
Happy 45th Anniversary, Pong!
Forty-five years ago today, Nolan Bushnell’s Atari company announced Pong as the company’s first arcade company. One of the games that started it all gets honored today with an official #PongDay declaration from Atari’s modern incarnation, along with some interesting new Pong-themed items.
