Assassin’s Creed III Arrives Just After My Birthday

I turn 30 this year. While most people look at 30 as the day they finally get old, I look at 30 as a new adventure. I really think I’m going to enjoy this upcoming decade of my life. One of the first things I’ll be able to enjoy as an official adult (I always imagined “adulthood” starting at 30) is putting myself back into Desmond’s shoes as he submerges himself into ...[Read More]

Ghost Recon Online – Class Overview

Ubisoft is definitely looking to make 2012 the year of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon. One of my more anticipated titles for this year, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, releases this May. Another anticipated title from last year’s E3, however, was Ghost Recon Online. A free-to-play, microtransaction supported online multiplayer PC game, Ghost Recon Online enters closed beta March 5th (you can si...[Read More]

Want to be prepared for surviving the post apocalyptic world that I Am Alive places you in before the game hits? Then you need to make sure you listen to what the game’...[Read More]

Trailer: Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Gameplay

We had a great time at E3 back in 2011, and Ghost Recon: Future Soldier‘s multiplayer was part of the reason for it. The cooperative dynamic was absolutely fantastic, and remains one of the multiplayer experiences I look forward to most in 2012. Now, the first gameplay trailer for this great entry to the Ghost Recon franchise has made its way to us courtesy of the fine folks at Ubisoft.

Trailer: Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc coming in HD

Rayman Origins was easily one of the best games of 2011, and without a doubt the best platformer of its entire generation. This is not up for argument, this is a simple statement of fact. If you disagree, you are a soulless being who has no concept of excellence and quality. Now, another Rayman is going to be gracing our consoles as a digital title for XBLA and PSN.

Rayman Origins coming to PC

Rayman Origins was one of the best games that 2011 had to offer. Note that I did not qualify that by saying that it was one of the best PLATFORMERS of 2011, but one of the best GAMES of 2011, regardless of game type. Not only was it one of 2011’s best offerings, it is easily the best platformer of this entire generation, and quite possibly one of the best platformers I have ever had the exqu...[Read More]

Review: Assassin’s Creed Revelations (360)

I started playing Assassin’s Creed Revelations with the plan to spend a good 10-15 minutes once I arrived in Constantinople free running around, familiarizing myself with the city, and refamiliarizing myself with the mechanics so that I could be sure that I kept my motion fluid and that I knew where my escape routes were. George Takei’s signature “Oh Myyyyy…” suddenly...[Read More]

Review: Rayman Origins (360)

Even now, I can still remember the first time I played Super Mario Bros. I have vivid recollections of my first time playing Sonic the Hedgehog. I will never forget my first experience with Prince of Persia. Earthworm Jim, Aladdin, and, for nostalgic reasons specific to my own life, Yo! Noid all made indelible impressions on me that will be with me until time starts erasing all of my memories. I h...[Read More]

Review: Rocksmith (360)

Until you become a fantastic guitar player in your own right, don’t expect to 100% anything in Rocksmith. Why? Because Rocksmith is the ultimate troll. What’s that, Player 1? You’re so close to mastering the chords of Plug In Baby? Well, I think that calls for a celebration! And by celebration, I mean I’M GOING TO INCREASE THE DIFFICULTY SO THAT YOU WILL ALWAYS BE JUST ALMO...[Read More]

Review: PowerUp Heroes (Kinect)

While enjoying elementary school recess in the late 80’s, my friends and I played various games of the imagination, from X-Men to G.I. Joe, and from Super Heroes to Street Fighter. You have never known joy if you didn’t spend 30 minutes a day running around shouting, “HADOUKEN! NO… NO! SNAKE EYES CAN’T BLOCK A HADOUKEN WITH HIS NINJA POWERS, YOU BIG BUTTHEAD!” N...[Read More]

Review: Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Trilogy HD (PSN)

Sam Fisher is pretty badass. This has been established over the years through his various adventures and exploits. From silently taking out elite forces to doing splits to support his entire body weight above the field of vision of said elite forces, Sam is the kind of guy you would want at your back if things got real. Now, his first three adventures return in a graphically updated HD triple pack...[Read More]
