EGLX First Impressions: Indie Games

EGLX First Impressions: Indie Games

This weekend is Enthisiast Gaming Live Expo (EGLX) in Toronto, Canada. The first thing you’ll notice is the massive eSports presence and the second thing you’ll notice is the indie games.

Although a lot of the games and studios present are local to Toronto, they are certainly a force to be reckoned with in the industry. We will be going more in-depth with full previews (and reviews for those that have already been released) in the coming days but I thought I’d take a second to give you a quick rundown of some of my favourite games so far.

Three of my favorites are Runbow from 13am Games, Arrow Heads from Oddbird Studio, and Auto Age: Standoff from Phantom Compass. Coincidentally, they are both colourful, vibrant games that really bring out my competitive edge.

Runbow is currently available on WiiU while Auto Age: Standoff can be added to your Steam wishlist, and Arrow Heads can be downloaded from their website (though it’s still in development).

Check out their websites and let me know what you think in the comments below!

On the outside, you might think Sam is rough and tough with her always-changing hair color and tattoos, but those closest to her will tell you she's actually a book worm, plant mom, avid backcountry hiker, and lover of all things Star Wars and video games!
