Games with Gold – January 2017

Should You Get Free Games or Work Out in the New Year?

Games with Gold January 2017

Lost boys and girls, the new year is upon us and with it a lot of prospective changes. One minor change from 2016 is the January 2017 Games with Gold offer. So you may be asking yourself, “Should I sign on to Xbox Live and acquire the January 2017 Games with Gold offer instead of sticking to my New Year’s resolution?”

The January 2017 Games with Gold offer may not be triple-A titles but two are well-known for creating a fun and memorable experience for gamers. The Xbox One Games with Gold Offer are World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap (January 1st -31st) and Killer Instinct Season 2 (January 16th to February 15th). Joining the Backwards compatible Xbox 360 games list is The Cave (January 1st to 15th) and Rayman Origins (January 16th to 31st).

So why should you pick up the January 2017 Games with Gold offer? Well first off, who doesn’t like free games? Killer Instinct has been around since the 1990’s and is still often considered one of the best fighting franchises around. World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap appears to be an interesting multiplayer tower defense hybrid set in a mythological world. The Cave and the World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap looks like interesting multiplayer experiences that will allow you to have fun with your friends. If you are looking for a fun 2D game then Rayman: Origins may just be the title for you.

Trying out relatively unknown titles may not be up your alley, so if that’s the case then it might be a good idea to avoid The Cave and the World of Van Helsing: Deathtrap. Ultimately what games you play is your choice, but Killer Instinct Season 2 will be a great party game. Unlike past months, all of these games look like they could be a lot of fun depending on the situation.

Remember you must be an Xbox Live gold member to get these games for free. All games can also be purchased at a later date, but why do that when you can get them for free? Hope all of you are having an amazing 2017 so far.
