It's Totally Soon Too, Man

Disco Elysium Release Date Announced!

Accompanied with a new trailer, Disco Elysium developers Studio ZA/UM have announced a release date for their “Detective RPG”. I had the privilege of getting hands on experience with this unique CRPG at PAX East 2018. It immediately shot to the top of my most anticipated games list. This was also the best kind of release announcement because not only did it confirm that the game is set to release, but that its next month! October 15th, the surreal, gritty, dark, beautiful, and clever Disco Elysium will be available for purchase on STEAM and GOG.COM.

Showing off some of the features of the game like the decision making, open world, getting dressed, and more. All while a mysterious twangy groove supports an even more mysterious voice calling out each of the features. The trailer also does a phenomenal job showing off the outstanding art direction of this game that embodies oil paintings with a gritty color scheme. I’m such a huge fan of the art of this game that I actually have a number of art prints and the poster prominently displayed next to my desk!

According to the website, we can look forward to a collector’s edition that will come with the soundtrack and digital artbook! If the game interests you at all the website breaks down the features showcased in the trailer further and offers all sorts of extra goodies. A dev blog, screenshots, and the social media can be found on the site to help you get hyped for Disco Elysium!

As more information becomes available like pricing we will update as soon as we can!

I’m very stoked to finally be able to experience the full game and the world and cast of characters that Disco Elysium has to offer. Plan on checking this groovy CRPG with its focus on character interaction, investigation, and choice? Let us know!
