When Xbox Gamepass announced many in the industry said that it would fail. Fast forward two and a half years later and the program is alive and thriving. Earlier today at Microsoft X019, Microsoft announced that new titles would be joining the Xbox Game Pass family. Some of the mentioned titles have already become available on Gamepass. Today, Microsoft announced that Rage 2, Final Fantasy, and Yakuza would be joining Xbox Gamepass. Starting today, Rage 2 and Remnant: From the Ashes can be downloaded on the Xbox One.
At E3 2019, Microsoft announced Xbox Game Pass Ultimate; the service combines Xbox Game Pass with Xbox Live Gold for less than the monthly cost of the two services combined. Prior to X019, Microsoft promised that a major announcement would be revealed regarding Xbox Game Pass. Today’s announcement, needless to say, was just that and more. Since the conception of the idea of a subscription-based service for gaming came out, excluding Redbox and Gamefly, I have been all for it. Why support a third party when you can support the companies you know and love without having to wait for a game in the mail or go to a box.
At X019, Microsoft announced that over twenty new titles would be joining Xbox Game Pass within the coming year. Below is the list of titles joining the program:
