The life of a gangster is a life filled with riches and trails of violence. Today, 2K and Hangar 13 has officially announced Mafia: Trilogy, a special bundle that contains all three Mafia Games. Containing all three games from across several generations, Mafia: Trilogy is launching August 28th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.
The first Mafia was released in 2002 for PC, then subsequently ported to PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Mafia II was released to PlayStation 3, PC, and Xbox in 2010, followed by the 2016 release of Mafia III to current day platforms. Combined, the trilogy has sold 18 million units worldwide, critically praised by gamers and reviewers alike. The trilogy made a strong impact on players, especially against the competition of other open-world action games.
Now, for the first time on modern consoles, experience all three entries of the revered action-adventure series together in one definitive organized crime saga. Mafia: Trilogy includes:
- Mafia: Definitive Edition – The built-from-the-ground-up remake of the beloved classic;
- Mafia II: Definitive Edition – The ultra HD remaster of the fan favorite;
- Mafia III: Definitive Edition – The re-introduction of the award-winning narrative masterpiece.
The Mafia Trilogy takes its inspirations from both real-life gangster tales and cinematic classics, culminating in an open-world experience where players navigate the dangerous world of being a gangster. From the New York-inspired Empire City to the Big Easy of New Bordeaux, players are taken on a journey of love and gunfire, where blood is stronger than family.
Mafia: Trilogy will contain all three games. The first Mafia has been fully remade from the ground up to become Mafia: Definitive Edition, taking advantage of modern controls and graphical capabilities to be introduced to a new generation of players. Mafia: Definitive Edition will be powered by the Mafia III engine, and feature brand new content and quests, in addition to new dialogue. Mafia II: Definitive Edition is a remastered version of the original Mafia II, and includes all DLC. Finally, Mafia III: Definitive Edition is a reintroduction of the original game, including all DLC.
Those who preorder Mafia: Trilogy today will automatically receive Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition immediately. Both games are available for download today and can either be purchased individually or as part of the Mafia: Trilogy. Mafia: Definitive Edition, the remake of the original game, will be available on August 28th, either as a standalone game or part of Mafia: Trilogy.
