Final Snydercut Trailer Releases Online

Final Snydercut Trailer Releases Online

HBO Max has finally released the full-length Snydercut Trailer today. This new look at the film gives us a better narrative sense of what Snyder is going for here that was noticeably absent from the DC FanDome trailer. Amid glimpses of a black-suited man of steel wielding his heat vision and a previously-released look at Diana we once again hear Jesse Eisenberg’s voiceover from Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice as we finally get to see a better glimpse of the Knightmare scene, Bruce had dreamt of. The trailer culminates with a better look at the return of Jared Leto’s Joker-following a flurry of images touting the character’s return-which now evokes a bit of Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker.

Over the years we’ve seen several glimpses of the movie via Snyder’s Vero account; from a look at Kiersey Clemons’ Iris West, the return of Jonathan Kent, and even the revelation of Harry Lennix’s General Swanwick being Martian Manhunter. Every single time Snyder would release something, social media would go into overdrive championing Snyder and his vision, so when the Snydercut was finally announced to be on the way there was much rejoicing in the fandom and even led to a new virtual convention called Justice Con with the promise of more teases to come in the lead-up to the film’s debut. In addition, releasing the Snydercut trailer today is of special significance for fans. Snyder has spoken of the fact that his original cut of the film was 214 minutes. While they may or may not have changed as the film comes together, it’s poetic that this symbolic number is being used to help market the film. The new trailer is no doubt a great comfort to fans to hold them over until the film finally premieres on March 18th.

Does this trailer make you excited for the film or do you wish they would’ve just waited until the film releases? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to Marooners Rock for more Snydercut news and reviews!
