Kingdom Hearts Comes to PC Through Epic Games Store

Kingdom Hearts to PC

Over the last 20 years, gamers around the world have asked, “When is Kingdom Hearts going to release on PC?” Up until Kingdom Hearts 3, the Kingdom Hearts franchise was predominately only on PlayStation consoles; the only exceptions were the handheld games KH: Chain of Memories, Birth By Sleep, and Dream Drop Distance. These three games, enhanced the Kingdom Hearts backstory; however, for those who did not have access to a Nintendo device, jumping into Kingdom Hearts 2.8 and Kingdom Hearts 3 was quite confusing. Now, almost 20 years later, the Kingdom Hearts franchise is coming to PC through the Epic Game Store this March.

On March 30th, 2021, the Kingdom Hearts franchise will launch on the Epic Game Store. The announcement came during the Epic Game Store Spring showcase. This launch will allow players to buy Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5, 2.8, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Melody of Memories. Although many are excited about the franchise launching on PC, the announcement has drawn some criticism. At the moment, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 is listed for $49.99. Kingdom Hearts 2.8, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Melody of Memories will retail at $59.99. For those who have already played through the Kingdom Hearts franchise, these launch prices seem rather high. Why buy all the games for over $200 when you can wait until they go on sale. For gamers who have an Xbox, 1.5 + 2.5, 2.8, and 3 are available through Xbox Game Pass.
