Spring is less than two weeks away in the northern hemisphere; that means thunderstorms are just around the corner. This weekend we jump an hour forward which means we are one hour closer to Spring. As we move into the middle of March, Niantic has just released the third and final Forces of Nature Pokemon Thundurus. Starting today at 8 am local time, trainers started to see Thundurus appearing in five-star raids replacing Tornadus. Incarnate Forme Thundurus Raid will be available until March 16th. Starting on March 16th, Therian Forme Thundurus will take its place. Therian Forme Thundurus will be in raids until March 31st, 2021.

Thundurus Raid Stats

  • Thundurus is an Electric Flying-Type Pokemon
  • It is weak to Ice and Rock-type moves
  • Thundurus’s Base HP is 188
  • Its Attack is 266 and Defense 164
  • The base catch CP is between 1828 – 1911
  • The Boosted Catch CP is between 2285 – 2389
  • It is weather boosted by either windy or rainy weather
  • Thundurus’s fast moves are Thunder Shock or Astonish
  • Its charged moves are Thunder, Thunder Punch, Brick Break, or Crunch
  • Thundurus’s Raid CP is 46044

Going into the Thundurus raid, you will need Pokemon with a strong HP, high defense, or type advantage. Below is a list of Pokemon to help you take down the Thundurus raid. The first six provide you with the best chance to take it down; however, we will provide you with some alternatives in case you are missing any of the first six Pokemon.

  • Mega Abomasnow – Powder Snow & Weather Ball
  • Galarian Darmanitan – Ice Fang & Avalanche
  • Shadow Mamoswine – Powder Snow & Avalanche
  • Rhyperior (Shadow) – Smack Down & Rock Wrecker
  • Rampardos – Smack Down & Rock Slide
  • Terrakion – Smack Down & Rock Slide
