Summer is halfway over but that doesn’t mean the fun is about to end. In July, Microsoft gave Xbox Live Gold members four titles; those four titles are Planet Alpha, Conker: Live & Reloaded, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, and Midway Arcade Origins. At the moment, Gold members can still redeem Planet Alpha, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, and Midway Arcade Origins. Planet Alpha and Midway Arcade Origins will be free until August 1st while Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break will continue to be free until August 15th. Now with August less than a week away, Microsoft has revealed the August 2021 Games with Gold.
Like last month and prior months, Microsoft looks to give Xbox Live Gold members a variety of genres to enjoy; the August 2021 Games with Gold titles are no exception. If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, at least two of these four titles have been accessible to play. Those two titles are Darksiders 3 and Yooka-Laylee. That’s right, Yooka-Laylee and Darksiders 3 are two of the August 2021 Xbox Live Games. If you are a PlayStation Plus member, you could already have Darksiders 3 in your collection.
The August 2021 Games with Gold are Lost Planet 3, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Darksiders 3, and Yooka-Laylee.
- Darksiders III ($59.99 ERP): Available August 1 to 31
- Yooka-Laylee ($39.99 ERP): Available August 16 to September 15
- Lost Planet 3 ($19.99 ERP): Available August 1 to 15
- Garou: Mark of the Wolves ($9.99 ERP): Available August 16 to 31
This lineup may contain older Xbox 360 and Xbox One titles, but most provide open-world experiences. If you have yet to try any of these titles, they are worth giving a try. Personally, I will be trying Yooka-Laylee and revisiting Lost Planet 3 before the release of Hades and Psychonauts 2 on Xbox Game Pass.
