Shin Megami Tensei V English Cast Revealed

The popular JRPG Shin Megami Tensei is back. Next month, the popular franchise releases its next installment on the Nintendo Switch. Shin Megami Tensei V is set to release on November 12th, 2021. The game’s vocals will be in either Japanese or English, however, other languages will be available through subtitles. The subtitle languages are English, French, Italian, Spanish, and German. This week, Atlus has announced the Shin Megami Tensei V English cast of voice actors. The reveal trailer showcase nine of the upcoming characters with their English voices. Most of the name’s on the list are not immediately recognizable, so who are these mysterious individuals.

English Voice Actors

Tao Isonokami will be voiced by Jeannie Tirado. She is KUJOU SARA in Genshin Impact and female Byleth in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Yuzuru Atsuta will be voiced by Mark Whitten. He is the voice of Kyojuro Rengoku in Demon Slayer and Leslie Kyle in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Miyazu Atsuta will be voiced by Ashlyn Madden. She is the voice of Ismat in Ridley Jones and Batgirl in Lego DC.

Ichiro Dazai will be voiced by Stuart Allan. He is the voice of Damien Wayne in DC shows and Russell Clay in the Transformers Animated series.

Japanese Prime Minister Hayao Koshimizu will be voiced by Sean Crisden. He is the voice of Storm Shadow, Tomax, and Xamot in G.I. Joe: Operation Blackout.

Abdiel will be voiced by Cissy Jones. She is the voice of Fury in Darksiders 3 and Joyce Price in Life is Strange.

Shohei Yakumo will be voiced by Ben Lepley. He is the voice of Professor Mirror in The New Pokemon Snap and Amai Mask in One Punch Man.

Nuwa will be voiced by Laura Post. She is the voice of Kasumi Yoshizawa in Persona 5 Strikers and Blizzard from One Punch Man.

Aogami will be voiced by Daman Mills. he is the voice of Diablo in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and is the modern voice in Dragonball Z.

Overarching Plot.

This is Shin Megami Tensei’s overarching plot according to Atlus:

When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks our protagonist’s walk home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious.

He awakens in a new Tokyo, a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at…but before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.

With newfound power, the protagonist ventures through Da’at, an enigmatic realm filled with mythical deities and demonic tyrants in constant conflict for survival. Searching for answers, the protagonist must forge his own path in a battle between light and dark to dictate the fate of the world.’
