Nintendo’s September 2022 Nintendo Direct featured many heavy-hitter announcements. From Fire Emblem to Pikmin, Nintendo’s latest showcase had a little for everyone, especially those interested in Farming Simulators. Perhaps the biggest announcement of the showcase came at the tail end, with the reveal of the upcoming Breath of The Wild sequel, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
The trailer opens up to some cryptic scripture, teasing a bit of Link’s upcoming adventure. Brand-new gameplay footage also reveals all-new locations, that feel very distanced from 2017’s Breath of the Wild. New sky and land mechanics were also briefly shown off, hinting at the evolution of BOTW’s stasis abilities. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases onto Nintendo Switch on May 12th, 2023.
