March 2023 Games with Gold vs PS+ Offers

March 2023 is already expected to be an excellent month of gaming. Just in January and February 2023 alone, gamers around the world finally got the opportunity to play Hogwarts Legacy, Dead Space, Hi-Fi Rush, Monster Hunter Rise, Wild Hearts, and Atomic Heart. In March 2023, gamers can look forward to the release of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, WWE 2K23, Resident Evil 4, and MLB: The Show 23. With all these games available to gamers, Microsoft and PlayStation look to provide gamers with a line-up of free games to occupy their time. Last month, we criticized the February 2023 Games with Gold offer. Now, Microsoft looks to redeem itself with the Xbox March 2023 Games with Gold offers.

Despite Microsoft offering an additional title for the Xbox March 2023 Games with Gold offers, they lack in comparison to the PlayStation Plus offering. Below, are the March 2023 Games with Gold and PlayStation Plus offerings for Essential and Extra games.

March 2023 Games with Gold

In March, Xbox Live Gold members and Game Pass Ultimate members, can download and play Trüberbrook, Lamentum, and Sudden Strike 4 – Complete Collection. Remember, Guts ‘N Goals will be free until March 15th.

March 2023 PlayStation Plus Essential + Extra

Although Microsoft has added an additional title to the Games with Gold program, Sony’s PlayStation Plus Essential offering seems superior. The March 2023, PlayStation Plus offering consists of Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein. These three titles will be available from March 7th, 2023 to April 4th, 2023.

Additionally, PlayStation Plus members who are Extra or Premium level members can access more titles for free. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, Ghostwire Tokyo, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, and Rainbow Six Extraction are just some of the games coming to the PlayStation Catalog.

How do you think the March 2023 offers compare to the PlayStation Essential titles? Personally, we feel that Sony’s offering is superior despite Microsoft adding a third title back into the monthly Xbox offerings.
