Rumor: June Games with Gold Possibly Revealed

It seems like a monthly tradition for us here at Marooners’ Rock, as well as other news sources, that in the week leading up to the end of a month, someway, somehow, Microsoft leaks the next month’s Games with Gold listing. Every month, the games revealed turn out to be true. This month’s leak has me… leery. To say the least. You’ll see why.

Games With Gold June

Seen in the picture above, which was found this past weekend by the website thisgengaming.com, we have the standard two Xbox One, and two Xbox 360 titles being released. For the Xbox One, we are getting one of the launch titles, which I absolutely enjoyed, Ryse: Son of Rome and a recent game that had a…shaky…release on console, Lichdom Battlemage. Ryse makes sense, but Lichdom is…questionable on multiple accounts. Oddly enough it isn’t even the straw that broke the camel’s back.

For the Xbox 360 titles, things get interesting. The first title is fan favorite and highly requested Red Dead Redemption. To be honest, I have yet to play this title. I know, I know. Get your guns and horses to crucify me. I played a lot of the original Red Dead Revolver and loved it, just somehow I have missed crossing paths with RDR for the past however many years.

Now the straw. This is what makes me say “DO NOT TAKE THIS AT FACE VALUE.” The last game on the list is Bioshock Infinite. While reading multiple articles’ takes on this, only a couple have pointed out this glaring fact. Bioshock Infinite was released on Games with Gold already; last March to be more precise. So if this is true, it would be the first time a game has been repeated. Granted, it is a good title, but a major let down for a lot of long time Gold subscribers. It definitely could be possible, but definitely not preferred by most users.

What do you all think? Do you think it is possible for this to happen. What would you rather see? Let us know! We’ll find out within the next week as to what gifts we’ll be getting prior to Gamer Christmas. (E3)

Some of his gaming accomplishments are: completing a living Pokedex on the Pokebank, 1000 pointing BCFX: Black College Football: The X-perience: the Doug Williams Edition, and only crying five times during the Kingdom Hearts series.
