Rainbow Islands Sequel Parasol Stars Heads To Modern Consoles

In 1991, developer TAITO released Parasol Stars, the 3rd entry in the highly successful Bubble Bobble franchise. While it was ported over to multiple platforms in the 90s, the PC Engine originally reined as the supreme version. Over three decades later, Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III is heading to modern consoles later this summer!

“The legendary bubble dragons Bub and Bob are back… in human form!?”

Bub and Bob return, continuing after the events of Rainbow Islands: The Story of Bubble Bobble 2. Unlike Bubble Bobble’s bubbles and Rainbow Islands’ rainbows, In Parasol Stars Bub and Bob use a parasol. The parasol allows them to pick up and throw enemies, revealing many sweet treats. The gameplay hook is simple to grasp but difficult to master.

Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III is heading to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Switch pre-orders are available now, at a 10% discount. Xbox preorders begin June 19th. All versions launch on July 11th. More information can be found on the publisher ININ’s official website.
