Greetings Backloggers! Welcome back from summer vacation. The Burndown spent the summer trying to get a tan, and then a lot more of the summer hiding away from the evil glowing sky orb while recovering from sunburns inflicted upon its poor, pale body. At least I had time to finish a few games!
During Ubisoft’s E3 press conference today, the next game from Gearbox was announced. Hot on the success of Borderlands and the completion of Duke Nukem Forever, Gearbox announced they are returning to the Brothers in Arms franchise with Brothers in Arms Furious 4, set to release early next year.
Is this happening? Could it really be? This game, ephemeral, phantasmal, like a wraith clinging to long dead tree branches, has finally materialized into a physical thing. It exists. Its coming. And I’ve played 20 minutes of it. Oh God, the world must be ending…

Racing fans sure aren’t going to like this news: Sony has announced today that, yet again, Gran Turismo 5 has been delayed. The good news? They might not have that long of a wait.
Today, the Game of the Year Edition of Borderlands came out for PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. If you haven’t picked up a copy (in which you should to get early access to the Duke Nukem Forever demo), 2K Games and Gearbox Software have put out a video that should be enough incentive for you.
Duke Nukem Forever is a game that, well, it felt like it would never come out. Earlier this year it was confirmed that the first sign of the Apocalypse has occurred, and that Forever would be released in 2011. For those who can’t wait at getting their hands on a game that’s taken over a decade to be released, check this out.
