The Vandals. The Vandals have been around since before I was born, but they’ve managed to maintain the personality of a 15-year old punk rock kid for over 30 years. The current, and most widely recognized line-up has been around since 1990, but the band first started in 1980. The Vandals are legen….wait for it…I hope you’re not lactose intolerant…dary!
To put their truly iconic nature into perspective, one of the most sought after and talented session drummers in music today, Josh Freese, has been playing with The Vandals since he was 15. At the age of 15, he was making records with Dweezil Zappa. He is currently a permanent member of A Perfect Circle and Devo, alongside The Vandals, and has played in Nine Inch Nails, Guns ‘N Roses, and Weezer. His home is The Vandals.
The Vandals have kept their immaturity prevalent in their music for the last 20 years of the established line-up, releasing ten studio records and two live albums. If you haven’t heard of The Vandals, I urge you to listen and get as much of their music as you can.
