T3 Entertainment, Hanbitsoft Inc, and Red Bana have proudly announced an open beta for their new MMO, Aika Global. The game takes a natural MMO feel with all new twists.
After much long and hard work, Aika Global has finally made it to open beta. “What makes this MMO so special?” you might be asking. For starters, it has won a number of awards including Best of Show: Prime Minister Award, Players Choice: Best Online Game and Best Game Design & Scenario at the Korean Game Awards in 2009. What makes this game unique, is that it is the first MMO to have organized nation versus nation combat.
It may sound like it would be complicated but I promise, it isn’t. The game takes players from two different nations and has them all fight in three different modes of combat. The first is Nation War which takes one thousand players from two different nations and has them fighting in a war type format. The second mode is called Castle Siege. This mode pits guilds from one nation against each other for control of that nations resources. This can happen on a weekly basis so control may shift often or not. Either way, it’s better to make friends in different guilds. The third type of fight is a Relic War. Similar to a capture the flag type game, players will compete to find or steal all of the relics on the map.
Another concept introduced in this game is a Pran. Think of it as a child you take care of and help to grow as the game goes on. It starts off as a small fairy but will eventually grow into a full sized adult that can help you in combat.
Aika Global has a lot to offer. The game doesn’t take a lot to run and still looks beautiful on horrid computers so think of it as a game you can play for a couple of years. Like I said before, it’s an open beta so jump over to their website and check it out!
