Someone at Harmonix is gonna get fired. HIRE ME! HIRE ME!As I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, Gamescom is going on over in Cologne, Germany. It’s a pretty big deal for the Europeans. Kinda like their version of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. As such, it could be easy to overlook certain security details. Like, oh I don’t know, NOT LEAKING EVERY SONG IN ROCK BAND 3 TO THE PUBLIC!
According to 1up.com, the Harmonix employee charged with the sacred task of showing off Rock Band 3 to the hundreds of attendees was scrolling through the list of songs in the game during the demo. Someone very fast and very smart grabbed his or her HD video camera and started rolling. The footage made it up onto YouTube, and was very quickly removed. But not quickly enough.
Numerous Rock Band fans scoured the list and were able to decipher what they’re pretty sure is every damn song in the game.
Personally, one of my favorite parts of Rock Band was the surprise of finding out what song I was going to play when I got to my next gig. So I really didn’t want to look through the list. Fortunately, 1Up reports that this could just be a list for the demo, and the songs could change by the time the game gets to retail. Also, it was taken from a YouTube video, and not necessarily by professional videographers, so it’s entirely possible that some mistakes were made. But, if you’re NOT like me, and you don’t feel the need to be surprised as you play through the game, here’s what they think they found:
