Sega’s Bringing Arcade Classics to the Wii

Sega has decided to bring two of their arcade shooter classics to the Wii in an all new combo pack! East Coast and West Coast unite bringing all kinds of two-player, fast paced, fire fighting action in Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns.

Remember going to the pizza buffet and playing shooter games with your friends? All that fun is now, finally, available at home! With Sega’s new combo pack, there’s plenty of fire-fighting to go around. This new port of the game is, for the most part, exactly like the arcade version so you can jump in and immediately be familiar with everything.

The game play has only slightly changed, now using a Wii Remote or Wii Zapper instead of a light gun. You still point and shoot with unlimited ammo, so you can keep shooting the bad guys again, again, and again. The graphics have also been kept exactly the same, for nostalgia purposes I assume. By now you might be thinking “Why would I want to buy this when I could just run down the street and pay $.50 to play it? The answer, is the new features. The game now contains online leader boards so you can see how you measure up against everyone else who bought the game. To help you boost those high scores, the developers have added in a combo chain feature as well as unlockable weapons and different ways to fire.

If you love either one of these arcade games, this is a title you should pick up. Attractively priced at $29.99, anyone who loved the originals will get their money’s worth out of this. Check out Gunblade NY and LA Machineguns today!
