As a gift to you for being born with eyes, we have ten new screen shots of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, fresh off the Tokyo Game Show circuit. The new game, a reboot of the much beloved franchise, sees Gabriel Belmont, as voiced by Robert Carlyle, hunting down the Lords of Shadow so that he can find the God Mask, a relic that can help him bring his dead wife back to life. While normally bringing a dead loved one back to life is concern enough, the presence of demons on Earth has caused the dead to be unable to ascend to the afterlife. So of course its up to Gabriel, like any good Belmont, to take care of all of this. With over 50 stages, 45 enemy types and 40 possible combo attacks, this is the Castlevania game that just might successfully make the jump from 2D to 3D.
Oh, and Patrick Stewart voices a character. I cannot forget to mention that.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow comes out on October 5th.
