The third game in Nintendo’s handheld RPG series is out today.
It was, for me, one of the best reasons to get a GBA back in the day. Golden Sun was a great game that really showed off the new hardware. Now, after way too long, we are finally getting a threequel. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn launches today for the Nintendo DS family of systems.
Taking place 30 years after the events of the second game, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Dark Dawn shows a recovered world of Weyard which has regained its vitality from the Golden Sun. Continents have shifted, new monsters have appeared and, once again, a brave young warrior must set out on a simple quest which soon turns into a fight to, what else, save the world.
Players can collect up to 70 different types of Djinn and use the DS stylus to control attacks in this new game. “Golden Sun: Dark Dawn delivers a planet-sized quest to explore and conquer,” said Marc Franklin, Nintendo of America’s director of Public Relations. “The game’s memorable characters, brilliant graphics and multifaceted game play will satisfy fans of the original Golden Sun games, and the rich storyline and intuitive touch-screen controls will help newcomers to dive right in.”
So, recap. Golden Sun. Dark Dawn. DS. Out now. Go get you some of that.
