A new survival horror game has just been released for the…Apple II?
Yes, developer Aeriae has developed a new text based survival horror experience thingy that you can play on your browser or download to your computer. Coded for the Apple II, this game takes you back, way back, back to a time when the WASD keyboard setup was used to type things and not move around. We’re looking at a Mr. Peabody type experience here people.
This tale of typing terror has players controlling 15-year-old Belinda Nettle. Belinda, a student at Linville Girls High School in Australia’s Blue Mountains, falls asleep one afternoon in the library and wakes up in a nightmare world where people have become monsters and everything has pretty much gone to hell. So now you have to guide her out of said nightmare, solving puzzles and using a complex combat system to kick some monster ass. Or just use the HIDE command. That works too.
Check out some pictures below. You know, I just realized how bizarre this could be, posting pictures from a game for the Apple II. Its freakin’ text. But you know, lets go nuts. Screens from an Apple II game incoming.
