I love Quake. My favorite Quake of all time was Quake III: Revolution for the PS2. It was fun, it was violent, and I loved everything about it. Hearing that Bethesda is bringing Quake Arena Arcade to XBLA is like being a kid and hearing that Santa is getting ready to come down your chimney and deliver presents.
With the ability to frag up to 15 of your friends or other Xbox Live players, some intense action can occur. There will be 6 different game types including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag (*squee*), and Harvester. Quake Arena Arcade will also have 30 different maps to play through, 12 of them being Xbox Live exclusive, and you can see them all in HD or widescreen formats. For those of you who aren’t too keen on playing FPS with others, there will be a brand new Single Player campaign for you to blast through and enjoy.
There’s no news yet as to whether or not there will be local multi-player capabilities, as I’d really love to see something like that, or how much it will cost, but we’ll all be finding out soon! I can’t wait!
