Atari has tweeted… should that be capitalized? Is tweet a thing to be capitalized? Oh, I don’t care. Anyways, Atari says that Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime will be released on March 23 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Ghostbusters is the best thing ever. I love everything about it. It is my favorite movie/series/cartoon of all time. Hell, I was born the day it came out. Me and Ghostbusters, we’re like this. So imagine my excitement when I say that the new downloadable Ghostbusters game is almost upon us. Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, the game that crosses proton packs and Smash T.V. style gamplay, will be out March 23 for the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. This is the first Ghostbusters game that I can think of that takes place in the present with an all new team of Ghostbusters. Why no, I am not counting the Extreme Ghostbusters games, thank you very much. Though Extreme Ghostbusters was a pretty cool show. For kids my age, those ghosts were scary as hell and… wow, look at me get off track.
So yes, new Ghostbusters. New Ectomobile. New gameplay. Hopefully this will lead to a new major Ghostbusters release. That last game was just pure wish fulfillment on a disk. I strongly suggest you check it out while you wait for March 23.
