Trailer: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Late last year The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was announced at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, and since then it has undoubtedly become one of the most anticipated games of 2011. Its predecessor, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion was widely praised for the story and the scale and beauty of the incredibly large and detailed game world it provided, and Skyrim looks like it’s going to retain the size and scope Oblivion brought to the table. Granted, both the player and non-player characters in Oblivion were ugly as sin, but the world was stunningly beautiful. Anyway, isn’t true beauty internal, not external?

Thankfully, Bethesda managed to give their characters not only inner beauty for Skyrim, but outer beauty as well. They no longer look like they were punched in the face by the Incredible Hulk, which should make this game even more visually appealing than it already is. Now, they’ve taken the next step in generating beauty buzz with their new trailer showing in-game animation and environments! I wouldn’t call it a gameplay trailer, since there are only a few brief glimpses of actual gameplay, but it’s enough to see how the world will look when you’re in the game.

Check out the new trailer and let us know what you think!
