Two contests in one day? Is this even happening? Oh I think it is! This time around we have some sweet movies for you guys!
Tying in with the upcoming Star Trek and War of the Worlds games, Blu-Ray’s and DVD’s were given away at E3. Fortunately for you guys we already have Star Trek on Blu-Ray so these are up for grabs.
There will be two winners for this contest. One will win Star Trek (2009) on Blu-Ray while the other will win the War of the Worlds combo. What’s the difference between the two WotW?
For starters, one is a DVD and is the original version that came out in, I believe, 1952. It stars Gene Barry and Ann Robinson. Since it’s the Special Collector’s Edition it is chock full of features like commentary, a Making Of, stuff about H.G. Wells, and much more.
The other is the 2004 (2005?) version with good ol’ Tom Cruise. Dakota Fanning, Tim Robbins, and Miranda Otto also star in it and the movie is directed by Steven Spielberg. There are also some special features on this as well like more H.G. Wells stuff, production diaries, scoring for the movie, galleries, and more.
Entering, as always, is simple. Leave a comment below but to make it nifty tell us your favorite Sci-Fi movie of all time. It doesn’t have to be Star Trek (Hell, it could be Star Wars *hint hint*), but know that there are no right or wrong answers. Also, when commenting please specify which movie you’re trying to win, but if you want to try for both let us know too. No multiple entries either.
Winners will be chosen at random and will be announced on Sunday, June 19th at 12:00 PM PST. As soon as both mailing addresses are acquired we will go and take both prizes to the post office. Like all of our contests, we go through the proper post office, not FedEx or UPS, so please keep that in mind when wondering when it will arrive at your home or apartment.
