Bethesda continues to whet the appetite of fans leading up to the release of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, this time by releasing the names of their star-studded vocal cast. The cast is lead by Academy Award nominees Christopher Plummer, Max Von Sydow and Joan Allen.
Plummer will voice Arngeir, an elder of the Greybeard’s, philosopher monks who live atop Skyrim’s tallest mountain.
Von Sydow helms Esbern, an agent of the Blades who has managed to survive in hiding. Esbern is a large part of the main quest that sets you adventuring in Skyrim.
A newcomer to video games, Joan Allen takes on Delphine, another member of the Blades trying to unravel the mystery of the dragons return.
“It’s been incredible to have all these actors together,” said Todd Howard, Game Director. “When you start a project, you always make your wish-list of actors, and to actually hear them in the game, it’s amazing. We can’t wait for everyone to experience it.”
Skyrim also features the voices of Michael Hogan (Battlestar Galactica), Vladimir Kulich (Smoking Aces), Claudia Christian (Babylon 5), Renee Victor (Weeds) and Lynda Carter of Wonder Woman fame.
Skyrim is set for release on November 11th, 2011.
