I turn 30 this year. While most people look at 30 as the day they finally get old, I look at 30 as a new adventure. I really think I’m going to enjoy this upcoming decade of my life. One of the first things I’ll be able to enjoy as an official adult (I always imagined “adulthood” starting at 30) is putting myself back into Desmond’s shoes as he submerges himself into a new ancestor in Assassin’s Creed III.
In today’s Ubisoft financials call, Yves Guillemot dropped the official release date of the next chapter in Desmond’s story: October 30th. Three days after I turn 30. With three years of development currently put into it, Assassin’s Creed III seems like it’ll be just as big a jump forward from the quality of the Assassin’s Creed II line as Assassin’s Creed II was from Assassin’s Creed. I’m anticipating a lot of games this year, and Assassin’s Creed III is definitely in the upper tier. Now I just have to wait eight and a half months to get my hands on it.
Shit.
