You know, it’s been a pretty slow week. Nothing new has really happened, no big events or releases…not much to talk about, really. That brings us to Episode 18 of Marooners’ Talk. “Handhelds are dead, long live handhelds!”, as the title may suggest, is an hour long discussion of holding hands, the social stigma attached to holding hands, and our sincere and erstwhile desire to promote the widespread acceptance of hand holding in all its forms. Too many people are letting things get in the way of hand holding. Primarily to blame is the advent of mobile technology, like the iPhone and more recently the PlayStation Vita. If people are always playing on their mobile devices, how can they dedicate solid time to holding hands with friends, family, and strangers?
The PlayStation Vita hit widespread release last Wednesday, a week after the First Edition bundle was released. In this episode, we discuss the Vita itself, the misleading nature of Sony’s advertising campaigns, and a handful of the platform’s launch titles, among other things (we don’t really talk about hand holding, much to my disappointment).
As always, you can listen instantly below or subscribe on iTunes or Zune (except we’re apparently not on Zune, which should be corrected soon) and listen on the go! So, you know, do that. Or not. Whatever. Jerk.
