We’re less than two weeks away from the launch of Ubisoft’s highly anticipated team-shooter, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The anticipation is palpable in this lead-up period. With the extended multiplayer beta coming to a close yesterday, we’re left with twitching fingers absent purpose for a few days more. In an attempt to appease the withdrawal symptoms of the masses, Ubisoft has announced today its “Arctic Strike” DLC pack for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Worry not, this is not Day One DLC. The current release date for the pack is July 3, 2012, at 800MSP/$9.99. With it comes new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, a new Guerilla mode co-op map, and six new weapons to kick ass with.
Don’t want to keep spending money on a game after the original purchase price? Well, obviously until we manage to get our hands on it to review, we can’t say for certain, but it seems that the retail package will offer a full single player and a full multiplayer experience. This DLC will be like dessert after a satisfying entree; you can do without it and remain happy, but why not indulge your sweet tooth a little?
