With every piece of media that comes out for Bethesda’s upcoming steampunk stealth first-person assassin title Dishonored, I get more and more excited. Granted, I’m not a major fan of first-person perspective in anything (shooters, racers, RPGs), but the mechanics of Dishonored have me interested in spite of the limited perspective offered by a first-person view. In order to emphasize that Dishonored can be played as an exercise in stealth of a revelry in violence, Co-Creative Directors Raphael Colantonio and Harvey Smith walk you through the same mission in both ways.
First, the stealth attempt:

The freedom to play through a game in the manner of your choice is definitely something that I appreciate. It takes strong development of mechanics in order to ensure an equally enjoyable experience for both stealth players and action players, and it looks like they’ve done a good job of balancing the game for both.
