I’m not a huge fan of the Metal Gear Solid series. I can appreciate it for what it is, but the gameplay itself is just not my preferred style. I never thought I’d find myself excited for a Metal Gear game, to be honest. Then I heard that Platinum Games was helming the next Metal Gear, titled Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and a spark of interest lit within me. Platinum Games is currently my favorite developer, with titles like MadWorld, Bayonetta, Vanquish, and Max Anarchy kicking all sorts of ass, so seeing their take on a universe I appreciate but don’t enjoy playing in was definitely intriguing. From what we saw at E3, and from this recently released gameplay video showing what seems to be the game’s tutorial, it looks like I was right to pay attention.
