TAKE THAT, EUROPE! That sound you’re not hearing right now is me doing a little jig on my desk. Not because Europe isn’t getting access to this Limited Edition without importing, but because I’m a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, and I love…sorry, I LOVE really well put together limited editions of games that interest me. This is going to be a bad rest-of-the-year for my wallet, but one hell of a rest-of-the-year for my display shelf and my wall. Let’s take a look at what this $119.99 Limited Edition is going to offer fans and see if the high price point is exorbitant or reasonable.
The Assassin’s Creed III Limited Edition comes bundled with:
- Assassin’s Creed III video game on the platform of your choice
- 9.44″ statue of protagonist Connor (Ratonhnhaké:ton) in an action pose with an American Colonial flag flying behind him
- Embroidered 28″ x 48″ Assassin’s Creed themed Colonial flag (a limited number of these flags were sent out to certain press sites over the last week, the lucky bastards)
- 3″ x 3.25″ metal belt buckle (I’m neither a cowboy nor a hipster, so I probably won’t actually wear the oversized belt buckle, but it will look nice on a shelf)
The GameStop exclusive mission and weapon available for pre-orders of the normal version of Assassin’s Creed III will also be available for pre-orders of the Limited Edition.
Now watch this and get patriotic:

I kept waiting for Amazing Grace to drop into dubstep…glad they managed a little restraint.
Is it worth the price? I absolutely think so. I’m a sucker for statues and flags, so they’ve definitely got me hooked. I guess the best way to say this is:
