VIZ Media has an exciting announcement for Berserk anime fans who live in the San Fransisco area. You will be happy to know that there will be a double-feature screening of Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I – The Egg of the King and the North American premiere of Berserk: The Gold Age Arc II – The Battle of Doldrey on Saturday, May 11th at the San Fransisco New People Cinema. Two double-freature screenings will take place at 3:00PM and 8:00PM. The movies will be English-dubbed. Those who can’t make it to the screenings can see the films as well through Neon Alley at the same screening times on May 11th. For more information on this please visit the Neon Alley site. The Berserk films are by Studio 4ºC, were directed by Toshiyuki Kubooka and written by Ichiro Okouchi.
For those interested in attending, tickets are priced at $25 and can be purchased online here. When ordering tickets, you can also read up on the summaries for the two movies to find out more about them. Original Berserk art will be displayed in the lobby of the theatre. Ticket holders will be given a gift bag that includes Berserk collectibles such as a tote bag, a fan, a beverage kookie, bookmarks, and more items. Also, attendees will be entered in a giveaway and will have an opportunity to win additional goodies like collectible figures, a special art book, cell phone charms, and Japanese theatrical pamphlets autographed by Studio 4ºC CEO Eiko Tanaka.
