The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D FINALLY Announced

Today during their Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo FINALLY announced they are remaking The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the 3DS. Fans far and wide have been clamoring for this remake ever since The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time was rendered in 3D for the handheld system a little over three years ago. This is one of my personal favorite Zelda titles, and I think it’s pretty safe to say that we haven’t seen another game maker pull off the “day looping” mechanic in such a successful way since this game was originally launched.

The remake is sure to have not only enhanced visuals, but the UI will be overhauled to take advantage of the 3DS’s second screen. No specific release date has been given yet, outside of “Spring 2015”, but you can be sure that the moon will be even creepier in three dimensions.

As a youngin’, Aron cut his gaming teeth on the NES. Countless hours spent in Hyrule and the Mushroom Kingdom helped him cultivate the skills that are the basis of what he is today: the Chicago metropolitan area's most ruthless Pokémon master. Some would think a bearded man in his 30s would be ashamed to be seen in public wearing a Pikachu hat, but for Aron it is a badge of honor. When he’s not collecting gym badges, Aron likes games such as those from the Final Fantasy, Super Mario Bros., Legend of Zelda, and Ace Attorney series.
