Humble Bundle has announced that its loyal and generous community has contributed more than $50 million for charitable causes to date. Humble Bundle has massed digital game bundles and has given the consumer the power to name their price (and choose how their purchase dollars are apportioned) since 2010.
The Humble Bundle community has helped provide funding for more than 50 charitable organizations, including the Electronic Frontier Foundation, Child’s Play Charity, and the American Red Cross. John Graham, co-founder and COO of Humble Bundle, says, “We never imagined.. that we might one day reach this milestone. It is hard to truly comprehend the magnitude of $50 million for charity.” For more information on Humble Bundles current projects and to stay up to date on their latest charity spotlights, follow their blog!
Humble Bundle has since expanded ways to help charitable organizations by offering mobile games, audiobooks and e-books for bundle purchases. Ten percent of all Humble Store purchases support select charities. “We owe our thanks to the generosity of the Humble Bundle community, to the content creators who entrust us with their works of art, and to the consumers for making this possible.” – John Graham
