While the road for 3D Realms’ idea of a new game has been rough (look up Duke Nukem: Mass Destruction), we have a first look at what their new title Bombshell will be like with in-game footage. This trailer is complete with jump cuts, explosions, guns, blood and driving rock music. Bombshell’s gameplay appears to be in an isometric style, in a similar fashion to the Diablo series.
Do not get me wrong, this game looks and sounds all kinds of action-cheesy (“I hope you see what you’ve become” “Yeah…your worst nightmare.”), but sometimes that is just fine. You don’t need phenomenal writing/presentation to have a genuinely fun game. With more information to come, Bombshell will be released later in 2015 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
