CANCELED-ALITY
After multiple delays, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has finally pulled the plug on (possibly) the last AAA fighting game for PS3 and Xbox 360. WB released a statement saying they “worked diligently to meet the quality standards set be the current-gen versions of the game” and that they “were not able to get [these] versions to the quality expected of a Mortal Kombat game..” It appears that Nether Realm Studios worked on current gen versions of the brutal fighter, while High Voltage Software worked on last gen. Why may this name seem familiar? Well, they were the studio also in charge of the PC port which, as some of you may remember, required multiple updates and patches to even be playable. Totally not pointing fingers, guys…
So what do you all think? Is it time to upgrade to current gen (yes I refer to PS4 and Xbox One as current gen. It has been just about two years, whipper-snappers.) to not be left behind, or should the last gen still be receiving love? Let us know!
