Release dates of the number one top-selling video game of 2015, Call of Duty Black Ops III DLC have been announced. If you’re on PS4, they’re out now! So if you are reading this and play on PS4, why haven’t you gone out and bought it yet? However, if you are like me and on the later end of the spectrum with Xbox One and PC, that’s okay. Our wait isn’t going to be too much longer.
Activision and Treyarch have announced that Awakening is coming to Xbox One and PC March 3rd, 2016. You can get Awakening (and three more DLC Map Packs throughout the year) for $49.99, or individually for $15. What does this include? Well, I’m glad you asked.
- Skyjacked: High above urban Zurich, Skyjacked is a modernized version of the popular Call of Duty®: Black Ops II multiplayer map Hijacked. Utilizing the new core movement system featured in Black Ops III, this map gives players new ways to explore the environment, while still retaining the same fast and frenetic gameplay players love.
- Splash: Dive into battle in this abandoned water park, featuring a vibrant and colorful environment, including waterslides, a wrecked pirate ship and a lazy river. Splash encourages an open flow of combat with opportunities for underwater gameplay.
- Gauntlet: Delivering three unique environments within one action-packed map, Gauntlet showcases Treyarch’s classic three-lane map structure, transporting players into battle through a sprawling jungle, sub-zero artic zone and rainy urban cityscape.
- Rise: A versatile multiplayer map, Rise is set in the snowy outskirts of Zurich in the middle of an ongoing construction site for a massive subterranean Coalescence research campus. With multiple engagement areas throughout this larger map, each section caters to different styles of gameplay.
Also included is part one of Blops III’s Zombie DLC adventure, Der Eisendrache. Follow Richtofen, Nikolai, Takeo and Dempsey as they discover what horrors surround a medieval Austrian castle during World War II.
So, are you picking up the DLC day one, or is 49.99/15 dollars too steep of a price for four maps and a part of a campaign? Let us know.
