Fans were excited to play one of Xbox’s best and most notable exclusive series on Xbox One when Gears of War series got a serious overhaul and was released as Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. Available today it is now available on Windows 10!
When it came to bringing this game to PC the Technical Director said “One of our goals with the PC version was ‘don’t touch the art.’ But beyond that, we changed everything.” Most of the game’s assets saw a poly count increase of 10%-30% while the character models were straight up doubled. The PC’s version settings set at “medium” will be on par with what we saw on the Xbox One release.
This tactic seemed to work as the game, through DirectX 12 support, supports 4K resolution at 60fps. The PC version should fare well as the Xbox One version released last year had positive reception. Be prepared to relive this title on PC in an amazing update available right now!
