After over 10 years, Microsoft is finally expanding their racing realm. Forza, is a popular worldwide series on Xbox consoles and Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will be an opportunity for Windows 10 PC users to join the racing experience. Players worldwide will be able to experience the addictive game play, free-to-play this spring in the Windows Store. Forza Motorsport 6: Apex uses the ForzaTech engine and will use DirectX 12 allowing all of you with beefy PCs to run the game at up to 4K resolution.
This experience is designed not only for veterans of the series but also for new players who want to experience the smooth blend of arcade and simulation racing. A curated experienced will be delivered to the player featuring a career mode that includes the new Showcase Tour. The Showcase Tour introduces players to new cars and and automotive match-ups through a series of beautifully crafted videos featuring the familiar voices of James May and Richard Hammond. Apex will also feature a new objective and scoring system that challenges players to improve and have the satisfaction of being able to compare high scores with their friends. A new Spotlight Series will feature showcase-style events that will be continuously updated. This will give players new and fun challenges to explore.
The Forza standard Drivatar opponent and Forzavista innovations are returning. There will be 63 fully functioning Forzavista enabled cars, each with working cockpits and full damage. Everything from classic American muscle to modern masterpieces will make an appearance. This includes cars like the 2014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro, 2017 Ford GT, the 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455. All of these cars will be raceable on 20 exciting track configurations in Brands Hatch, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Rio de Janeiro, Sebring International Raceway, Top Gear and Yas Marina. Get ready to race day, night, wet or dry.
