Missions and Rewards Revealed for My Nintendo Reward Program

Nintendo’s new reward program set to replace the recently shut down Club Nintendo, My Nintendo, has launched in Japan with the release of Nintendo’s first mobile game, Miitomo. On March 17th, those with smartphones in Japan could download the social app Miitomo and begin earning reward points for completing challenges such as “Change your Mii’s clothes once a day (daily)” and “Get 5 comments on your answers daily.”

For those unfamiliar, Miitomo allows you to create a Mii and interact with your friends. You can earn (or pay for) outfits, take photos in the aptly named Miifoto, and ask and respond to your friends questions. In the app, you can unlock Platinum points by completing said missions or certain activities such as linking your Twitter account to your Nintendo Account, and you can earn Gold Points by spending real money on games or DLC. With these points, you can redeem them for various types of digital rewards, including games, discounts, Nintendo 3DS themes, and Miitomo items. Courtesy of Siliconera, here is the list of the current rewards you can strive for;

  • WarioWare: Touched! (3DS) – 1000 Platinum Points

  • 1 Miitomo game ticket – 85 Platinum Points
  • 5 Miitomo game tickets – 420 Platinum Points
  • 10 Miitomo game tickets – 250 Platinum Points
  • My Nintendo 3DS Theme 1: Mario – 200 Platinum Points
  • My Nintendo 3DS Theme 2: Donkey Kong – 200 Platinum Points
  • 20% off of Brain Age: Concentration Training (3DS) – 600 Platinum Points
  • 20% off of Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure (3DS) – 230 Platinum Points
  • 20% off of Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) – 950 Platinum Points
  • 20% off of New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS) – 750 Platinum Points
  • 40% off of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D (3DS) – 130 Gold Points
  • 40% off of New Super Mario Bros. U (Wii U) – 160 Gold Points
  • 40% off of Ultimate NES Remix (3DS) – 105 Gold Points
  • 50% off of Mario & Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move (3DS) – 50 Gold Points
  • 50% off of Metroid: Other M (Wii U) – 90 Gold Points

It is important to note that these rewards may vary in your region, but this should give a good taste of what to expect when Miitomo and the My Nintendo program launch in the USA, EU, and Australia by the end of March, with other regions to follow.
