On March 22nd, if you have purchased the Season Pass for Star Wars Battlefront, you will receive the Outer Rim DLC expansion. In this first wave of paid DLC, Nien Nunb and Greedo are added to the Hero roster. Yes, that means you can truly decide, time and time again, who shot first between Han and Greedo. Nien Nunb, on the other hand, is the Sullustan who flew with Lando Calrissian on the Millennium Falcon in Return of the Jedi.
In addition to new heroes, Outer Rim contains 4 new maps. These include a new stage on Sullust, as well as Jabba’s Throne Room and Sail Barge on Tatooine. There will also be a new mode, Extraction, added to the mix. As the Rebel Alliance, you are tasked with getting a shipment off-world, with the Empire attempting to stop you.
New Star Cards and weapons will be available, as well as a new spectator mode, higher level cap, Hutt Contracts, and more.
For those who don’t own the season pass, the Outer Rim DLC will be available to all Star War’s Battlefront players on April 5th for $15.
Outer Rim is the first of four planned DLC expansions for Star Wars Battlefront. The second one, available in Summer of 2016, will take you to the Cloud City of Bespin. In Fall 2016, you will be headed to the Death Star. Lastly, In early 2017, the fourth expansion will arrive, though no further details were given. Considering Star Wars Rogue One will be released in theaters on December 16th, 2016, it’s probably a safe bet to assume that fourth expansion will be based on the movie.
