Koei Tecmo have given the day when humanity will know their place as cattle.
August 30th, titans will attack consoles and PCs across the world. Only will the skill of brave Survey Corps members stand between home and the ruthless giants known as Titans. Known simply as Attack on Titan, Omega Force’s newest action game is already seeing success in Japan where its available now. Playstation 4 and Xbox One players will be able to pick up a physical copy, while the Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita will only be able to buy the game digitally. PC players can also pick up their maneuver gear through Steam on the same day.
The game follows the story of the show’s first season, presumably using everything that’s available as in English as source material. Players will get to play as the most prominent members of the Survey Corps including Eren, Mikasa, Armin, Jean, Sasha, and more. The story mode features rich, animated cutscenes, while the multiplayer offers a way to get a group going to take down some Titans.
Tons of gameplay footage of the Japanese release is available online for those who pursue it. Anyone wanting to play the Vita version should also note that the graphics on the handheld pale in comparison to the console version. The Vita version seems to play well enough, but the visual difference is striking.
