Leaks are something that the game industry faces constantly. Just the other day, most of those with their eyes on gaming journalism outposts like ours knew that Final Fantasy XV was launching on Sept. 30th. A few months ago Bioshock: The Collection was spotted on a rating site, sparking excitement for one of the best franchises of the last generation that was being kept alive on the current consoles.
While a game’s rating can appear a month before a release or in some cases even several months, this sort of news should always be taken with a grain of salt. It doesn’t guarantee release and there hasn’t been any official announcements.
However, there is another layer to this story.
Even though it is no longer listed on the ESRB’s website, it was there recently, but apparently the publishers just aren’t ready to come out with it. It’s like being let in on an obvious secret in elementary school.
Yes, we all know Becky is actually a blonde, but can she just get over it already!
Either way, I would expect this collection to release sooner, maybe even in the summer. Should be worthwhile for fans or those who missed out on the DLC. Until then, we’ll keep our peepers peeped for any more slip ups.
